Body Image Issues Directly Related to Bullying In the world we live in millions of young girls and boys are bullied for the color of their skin and the size and shape of their bodies. When children are put down their self esteem is often put on the line which can cause many issues within one s childhood (KidsHealth.org). It has become a cultural norm for adolescents to feel some sort of hate toward themselves and their own bodies because of what someone has said to them or something they read in a tabloid magazine about how a â€Å"beautiful† person should look like. Young people have lost their sense of confidence due to other people s opinions and it is causing immense amounts of mental and physical damage to them. The direct relation to bullying and body image have been studied many times and every time you can find some sort of connection. In November of 2015, the PR Newswire posted the results of their survey done on more than 1,100 boys and girls ranging from eight yea rs old to eighteen years old. Through their survey they found that sixty-nine percent of girls and fifty-eight percent of boys have had issues directly affecting the way they see themselves.
